Hazem Zanoun I am a 23-year-old Palestinian from Gaza. I attended Seeds of Peace Camp in 1997 and returned as a Program Leader in 1998. I was one of 7 youth producers of Peace of Mind, an award-winning documentary which portrayed the conflict in the Middle East through the eyes of Palestinian and Israeli teenagers. I wrote articles for the Seeds of Peace Olive Branch as well as New Voices magazine. In 2003 I took part in a Seeds Media Conference that examined the role of media in conflict regions. In Summer 2004 I served as an intern in the Washington office of Senator Carl Levin. Last February I attended a Seeds Conference on Social Entrepreneurship. I attended Birzeit University in Ramallah as well as the Islamic University in Gaza. I am a student at the University of Southern Maine majoring in Electrical Engineering and will graduate in May. I am hoping that someday I can attend graduate school at the Georgetown School of Foreign Affairs.
