Dani Vos is an Israeli native who joined the Israeli army at the age of 18. He is one of the 49 first signatories of the combatant letter and while in Israel was a member of the Courage to Refuse steering Committee. While living in Israel Dani was responsible for the group's international outreach and helped to create and sustain relationships with supporting Jewish communities around the world.

Vos has a Bachelor's degree from Ben Gurion University. Today he studies sociology in a PhD program at Columbia University in New York.

Vos's visit to Waterville was jointly sponsored by the Mid-Maine Global Forum and the Goldfarb Center for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement.
